Programmes I led

Three projects that show how I scope, build consensus and deliver in the field.

2023 – 2025

Alder Fork floodplain reconnection

Removed a legacy levee and re-graded side channels across a working cattle ranch, with grazing plans co-written with the family who own it.

Result: seasonal flooding returned to the valley floor, and the ranch now hosts the watershed's volunteer planting days.

2021 – 2023

Culvert-to-bridge replacement series

Coordinated permitting, design review and in-water work windows for a run of road crossings shared by county and forest agencies.

Result: upstream spawning reaches reopened, and a shared scheduling template is now used by both agencies.

2019 – 2021

Community stream-keeper network

Designed a volunteer monitoring protocol, training kit and data review loop so neighbourhood groups could track water temperature and canopy.

Result: volunteer data now feeds the district's annual condition report after QA review.

  • Lead a portfolio of riparian and fish-passage projects from concept through five-year monitoring.
  • Manage a team of project coordinators and seasonal field crews, and set training and safety standards.
  • Write and steward multi-year grants with state and federal funders, including all reporting.

2017 — 2021

Senior Project Coordinator

Coldwater Basin Conservation District

  • Ran landowner outreach and access agreements for on-farm restoration work.
  • Built the district's first shared project tracker in GIS, replacing scattered spreadsheets.

Habitat Biologist

Fernbank Ecological Consulting

  • Conducted stream habitat surveys, wetland delineations and permit support for public-sector clients.
  • Drafted biological assessments and mitigation plans reviewed by regulatory agencies.

Tall Timber Conservation Corps

  • Led crews of six on native planting, invasive removal and trail drainage projects in remote sites.
